athleen was born from a simple belief: what touches your skin matters.
After years of making cleaner choices in our home, from food and cookware to bedding and mattresses, we realized clothing was the next step. Inspired by our family, especially our daughter Kathleen, athleen minus the K, and by our travels through Europe, we set out to create activewear using thoughtfully sourced materials.
athleen is focused on GOTS-certified organic cotton blended with just enough stretch for movement, comfort, and everyday life. We are building the brand slowly and intentionally, with cleaner materials, timeless colors, and pieces designed to feel as good as they look.
Our name combines athlete, lean, and Kathleen. It sounds obvious now, but somehow it took us two months to land on it!
